The new operational headquarters of Stocktotal Solutions, Motorola’s Brazilian radio communications partner, is located in São Paulo. Covering approximately 810 square metres, the project belongs to the distinctly Brazilian category known as “retrofit do novo”: the substantial revision of a new building that has already been approved or is under construction, in order to correct functional and architectural limitations.
The intervention first redefined the façade, resolving the misalignment between openings on different floors. The upper-level windows were incorporated into projecting, splayed volumes that align with the ground-floor doors. Other openings, originally positioned at different heights, were integrated through deep reveals in the masonry.
At the top of the building, a dense metal frame rebalances the relationship between solid and void and supports a coloured mesh, transforming a technical requirement into an element of corporate identity.
Inside, the design rationalises storage and archive areas and organises the offices around a double-height entrance hall. The upper floor contains modular workstations, executive offices and five meeting rooms, some conceived as independent glazed volumes. Transparency, modularity and clear circulation create a collaborative workplace able to adapt as the company evolves.
Aware of the challenges of globalisation, we draw on Italian creativity to develop projects that respect and enhance local identities and cultures.
