Studio Lauria oversaw the creation of a small but interesting interior in Florence: the atelier of the young lutist Tommaso Pedani, heir to a centuries-old tradition started in Cremona by Antonio Stradivari.
The space, located in the historic district of “Le Cure”, opens onto the street through a large glazed entrance that allows a glimpse of the terracotta floor and the wooden ceiling from which light globes of various sizes hang Large olive boards have been fixed to the walls, shaped and worked to host the showcases containing violins and violas.
The use of wood characterizes the design of the internal space and recalls the work of cutting and shaping that the violin maker carries out to obtain the harmonic case of the instruments.
