A bridge over the Arno

In 2005 ANAS launched an international competition for the construction of two new bridges over the Arno river, upstream of the city of Florence. Studio Lauria, in association with Tommaso Vernuccio, proposed the alignment of the two bridges and the design of a large river park. The solution designed is characterized by a flexuous structure and by the use of metal meshes.
The project was selected from those exhibited in Piazza di Trevi in Rome in 2006.
